Bryan Wai-ching CHUNG<\/strong> is an interactive media artist and design consultant. Chung was awarded the Media Artist of the Year 2016, by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council<\/a>. He was also the Grand Prize winner of the Japan Media Arts Festival<\/a>, Art Division, 2015. In 2009, his consultation work, Coca Cola Happy Whistling Machine<\/a><\/em> won the Media Kam Fan Advertising Award. Chung’s works have been exhibited at the World Wide Video Festival, Multimedia Art Asia Pacific, Stuttgart Film Winter Festival, Microwave International New Media Arts Festival and the China Media Art Festival. In the former Shanghai Expo 2010, he provided interactive design consultancy to various industry leaders in Hong Kong and China. Chung studied computer science in Hong Kong, interactive multimedia in London, and software art in Melbourne. He also develops software libraries for the popular open source programming language Processing. He is the author of the books, Multimedia Programming with Pure Data<\/em> (Packt Publishing, 2013)<\/a> and Pro Processing for Images and Computer Vision with OpenCV<\/em> (Apress Springer, 2017)<\/a>. Before retirement, he was the Associate Professor in the Academy of Visual Arts<\/a>, Hong Kong Baptist University<\/a>, where he taught subjects on interactive arts, computer graphics, and multimedia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2008, I co-found and worked with DBIS Interactive<\/a><\/em> (part of the existing Don’t Believe in Style<\/a>), before it was merged and acquired, as interactive media consultant to develop state-of-the-art interactive content and infrastructure for the local creative industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
